Dryer Tips
- Fill your dryer to recommended levels and do not try to combine loads.
- When your dryer is not drying correctly, make sure the exhaust at the back of the machine is not crushed between the dryer and the wall that will prevent the hot, moist air from leaving the dryer.
- If the drive belts in your dryer are broken, the interior drum of the dryer will not turn. If the belt is defective, it will need to be replaced so that your dryer will tumble. This is also a good time to check the idler pulley wheel. Typically, we recommend changing this along with the belt to prevent the pulley from wearing out in the future.
- If your dryer fuse does not turn on, check the thermal fuse. This is a small fuse that connects to the exhaust duct. It is heat sensitive, which means that if the dryer exhaust gets too hot, the fuse will blow, shutting down the dryer and reducing the risk of fire due to overheating. If the fuse is blown, it will need to be replaced.
